Week One

Well I had an awesome week this week. School is going to be really cool. The only downside was about 8 visits with the counciler trying to work our my schedule. But it will all work out. In the mean time my Senior class is extremely nice and has welcomed me (A.K.A the only new kid in the Senior class) with open arms. I'm going out for the basketball team, but it's doubtful I'll make it as anything more than 3rd string benchwarmer. The team is really good and won a State title just 2 years ago. Anyways I had a totally awesome first week and I hope everyone else did too. Buh-bye. (Why am I saying "Buh-bye" at the end of a blog entry? You can all tell it's the end of the entry without me saying "Buh-bye" right? We do weird things on the internet)

The Good, the Bad, and the Blogger

I'm going to do my blog in game form this week. I will now play "Good news, bad news". (Got to play it in SOM once. It's a lot of fun)

Good News: The Texas Rangers have won 4 straight games. Bad News: We still trail the A's by 5 games.

Good News: The Cowboys beat the Seahawks 13-3. Bad News: It's pre-season and a totally meaningless game.

Good News: I get to go on a trip to a cool recreational ranch tomorrow. Bad News: The only reason I'm going is because school is starting and it's a senior trip to start the year. Worse News: I still have like 100 pages of "A Farewell to Arms" to read before tomorrow. Even Worse News: There's a chance I will have to shave my mustache off because of this school's rules

That's all. Happy Back to School Week everybody!

Dreary, but good

It's early in the morning and dark and rainy outside, with rolling thunder being heard in the sky. It doesn't get more dreary than this. But this also means that A) It won't be 105 degrees today and B) This may finally stop the drought we've been having for over a year. But it just seems insult to injury to have a dark rainy day on my last days of summer break. Allow me to leave you with an inspirational message for everyone going back to school who will have to deal with teacher's who don't know what they're talking about and students who think they know it all:

School pictures

Well today is my senior pictures day (why it's so early I'll never know). Anyways since I am taking a picture that will be with me for the rest of my life guess what's happened? That's right, I have a zit the size of Montana on my nose. So I'm applying ice, soap, cream, and anything else in sight to it. Fun, fun, fun. I've got to go now. I'm thinking about getting out early and buying a fake nose.

UPDATE:

After a morning of battle the zit was barely noticeable by picture time!  Oh and in my personal opinion I look very good in a tuxedo

Weekend in Brief

Well I had a busy weekend, starting on Thursday when my youth pastor called me and invited me to join the Leadership Team in the youth group. So anyways by saying yes I immediatly took a more active role in the youth group starting with Friday, where I spent all morning and part of the afternoon cleaning up the church for the rock show we had that night. At the rock show we had 4 Christian bands come in and play for us. The first two were just screamo bands and were quite annoying, but the second two were a lot better.

Saturday we had my grandpa's birthday, so that was pretty much the whole day.

And today is the best news of all.... FOOTBALL STARTS TONIGHT!!! Guys everywhere scream "YES!" while girls everywhere yell "WHAT? ALREADY?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?". Yes after a long 7 months since the Super Bowl the first pre-season game will be played tonight. It's almost like Christmas in August.
